We recently completed a project featuring Owens Corning Duration shingles in the Quarry Gray color. For enhanced durability, we applied Polyglass self-adhered SBS modified roofing systems on both the cricket and the flat front porch. Additionally, we upgraded the roof by replacing the old dormer vents with sleek, low-profile O’Hagan vents, giving it a more modern appearance.

Quarry Gray is a striking color choice, exclusively available in the Owens Corning TRUDuration shingle line, which offers a premium upgrade from the Oakridge line. That said, the Oakridge shingles remain an excellent choice for many projects.

Before starting the job, the roof had three layers of shingles, although building codes typically allow for only two layers. Despite the initial challenge, the finished result turned out flawless.
